About Us...
Yanmaz & Talay Architects is a design studio founded by Sezin Yanmaz Talay and Tuna Talay. The studio has accomplished many types and scales of architectural and interior designs ; some of which are represented in this web portfolio. Below you can find the personal information of the founder partners.
Sezin Yanmaz Talay was born in Zonguldak Kdz.Ereğli in 1977 and completed her primary, secondary and high school education in TED Kdz. Ereğli College.
Between 1994 - 1999 she studied architecture and receieved her B.Sc. degree from İ.T.U. Faculty of Architecture. Following the graduation she received her master's degree from the same university's History of Art & Architecture Department in the year 2001, with her thesis entitled "The Traditional Midyat House as a Design Object".
After working as an architectural designer for prestigious project offices in İstanbul; she had leaded the design office of a construction company. In June 2004 she has founded YT Architects with her partner Tuna Talay. She has certified expertise in energy identities of buildings and sustainable architecture modellings. She is currently the manager partner and a member of YT Architects designer team.
Tuna Talay was born in Ankara in 1976 and completed his education until high school level in this city. He has graduated from Eskişehir Cumhuriyet High School in 1994. Between 1994 - 2001 he studied architecture and receieved his B.Sc. degree from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Faculty of Architecture.
After working as an architectural designer for prestigious project offices in İstanbul; he accomplished several project and construction management jobs in different locations of Libya. In June 2004 he has founded YT Architects with his partner Sezin Yanmaz Talay.
He is currently the manager partner and a member of YT Architects designer team. Tuna Talay also leads the construction management jobs which are being executed within the YT Architects. He is Leed V4 certified designer.
